To be honets I've never really done any experiments on the ph that you mention but it does make complete sense. I think I should maybe get a ph measuring tool and see what my soil and water reading are and come back to you. As far as temperatures are concerned - fully agreed!! At the moment in Pretoria we have a lot of rain and maximum temperatures are around 34 degrees celcius. My plants are also under a shade net which become very humid - I must say I can see the diffirence in my plants and the flushes - they seem to be very happy at the moment. :D :D

:o Darsin , you have very amazing collection , I just got 2 of E.ghellinckii with caudex size around 3 - 4 inch on last year but now they are gone. :cry: May be Thailand is not suitable for this species. How do you make this species re-establish ?
I have grow E.lanatus , friderici , cycadifolius , humilis without any problem so I don't know why ghellinckii is difference.
